A Muslim Convert Once Before

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Shaykh ‘Utsman Nuri Tufbas wrote, in “Islam, Spirit & Form”, that Allah ( s.w.t. ) is One.   And this statement is clear enough to indicate that there is no probability to have a second god.   The poet articulates the Oneness of Allah ( s.w.t. ) with these words: “It is only Him that Exists.   He is One on His Own; He is the only One!”   Hence, the belief in the unity of Allah ( s.w.t. ) should be clear enough not to regard a second being as possible.   Islam requires and enjoins such a kind of belief in the unity of Allah ( s.w.t. ).   This is the first step in coming under the religion of Islam.   Many Doors of Allah’s ( s.w.t. ) Mercy, Blessing, Grace, and Beneficence are unfolded to those who take a worthy step in this way.   Thus, Sayyidina Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi ( r.a. ) endured the severe torture by the idolaters to have him return to idolatry, and with a great ecstasy of faith he replied ...

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The Prophet’s ( s.a.w. ) mu’adzin was Sayyidina Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi ( r.a. ).  Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) pronounced the “ sh ” as “ s ” and said, in the adzan , “ ashadu ”, instead of “a shhadu ”.  The hypocrites mocked him for that.  Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) informed the Prophet ( s.a.w. ) who was pained by that.  The Prophet ( s.a.w. ) said, “The ‘ s ’ of Bilal is ‘ sh ’ near Allah ( s.w.t. ).  The ‘ s ’ of Bilal is better than your ‘ sh ’.”

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ When Sayyidina Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi ( r.a .) was questioned about his relationship with Sayyidina Abu Bakr ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Utsman asw-Swiddiq ( r.a. ), he said, “I am just a good deed from his good deeds.”

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The following is adapted from a swuhbah from Shaykh Muhammad Nazhim Adil al-Haqqani ( q.s. ), on the 01 st January 1997.   We must ask Allah ( s.w.t. ) to Protect us.  That is what we need.  Satan does not bother with those who have left all belief and do not believe in anything.  They are already directed by him.  That is their way.  They think that there is no life after death, no Judgement Day and no eternal life.  It is their belief not to believe.  This is the deepest ignorance anyone can have.  If someone is refusing to use their mind, there is nothing we can do.   Abu Jahl ‘Amr ibn Hisham al-Makhzumi looked at the Prophet ( s.a.w. ), but never saw the lights of prophecy on his face.  Sayyidina Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi ( r.a. ) looked and saw it.  Abu Lahab denied it; Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) declared it.  If a person is blind, we cannot give any description to him about...

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Sayyidina Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi ( r.a. ) moved to Damascus upon the demise of Rasulullah ( s.a.w. ).  He dreamed of the Prophet ( s.a.w. ) who asked him, “Why did you run away from me, O Bilal?”   Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) quickly returned to Madina.  He went to visit the Prophet’s ( s.a.w. ) maqam , crying.  On his way back, he met Sayyidina Abu Bakr ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Utsman asw-Swiddiq ( r.a. ) who said to him, “O Bilal, I wish you would perform adzan as before.”   Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) replied, “No, I cannot bring myself to do it since the passing of the Prophet ( s.a.w. ).”   Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) continued walking and met Sayyidina Abu Hafsw ‘Umar ibn al-Khaththab al-Faruq ( r.a. ).  He, too, asked Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) to perform the adzan .  Sayyidina Bilal ( r.a. ) replied, “I cannot.
