He Halted the Mu’tazilah
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The jurist, Imam Abu Bakr Yahya ibn Muhammad as-Sayrafi ( r.a. ), said, “The Mu’tazilah were prominent and used to hold their heads up high until Abu al-Hasan detained them back to a corner and halted their efforts.” He was referring to the great theologian, Imam Abu al-Hasan ‘Ali ibn Isma’il al-Ash’ari ( r.a. ).
