A Muslim Convert Once Before

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ   Tafsir al-Jalalayn is one of the most significant books of exegesis for the study of the Qur’an.   This monumental work is by Imam Jalal ad-Din Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Mahalli ( q.s. ), and his student, Imam Jalal ad-Din Abu al-Fadhl ‘Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abu Bakr as-Suyuthi ( q.s. ).   The famous Maliki scholar, Imam Ahmad ibn Muhammad asw-Swawi al-Maliki ( r.a. ) wrote a, hashiyat , commentary, on the above work.   This commentary is known as Hashiyat asw-Swawi ‘ala Tafsir al-Jalalayn .   He commented on the following verse:   سُوۡرَةُ فَاطِر إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنَ لَكُمۡ عَدُوٌّ۬ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّاۚ إِنَّمَا يَدۡعُواْ حِزۡبَهُ ۥ لِيَكُونُواْ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ (٦)   Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy.   He only invites his adherents, that they may become companions of the Blazing Fire.
