The Belief That Slavery is Part of Islam & Other Gems

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The Wahhabi preacher, Swalih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan, has some very controversial views.  In 2003, he was quoted as saying, “Slavery is a part of Islam.”  He continued, “Slavery is part of jihad , and jihad will remain as long there is Islam.”  As for the consensus that the position of Islam is to abolish slavery, he said, “They are ignorant, not scholars,” and, “Whoever says such things is an infidel.”  And this is exactly the position of ISIS.   al-Fawzan’s book, at-Tawhid , was taught to Saudi high school students, at least as of 2003.  In it, he said, “Most Muslims” are polytheists, and “their blood and money are, therefore, free for the taking by true Muslims.”  And this is also the position of ISIS.   Among al-Fawzan’s other controversial beliefs is the right to ban the marriage of Arab women to non-Arab Muslims, because non-Arabs are “inferior”.   al-Fawzan is one of the most quoted Wahhabis i...

Wahhabi Discrimination against Pussy

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The Wahhabi, Swalih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan, he of the fatwa that the Sun revolves around the Earth, has also stated that taking pictures with cats is haram .  In Saudi Arabia, women have almost no rights.  They cannot drive until recently, they cannot go anywhere without an escort, and they are restricted in the way they dress.  And now this proscription of cat pictures.  This Wahhabi discrimination against pussy has to end.

Wahhabis Say Photographs are Haram

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Many Wahhabi scholars, such as Muhammad Swalih al-Munajjid and Swalih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan, are of the opinion that taking photographs is haram regardless.   Swalih al-Fawzan even said that any Muslim who teaches otherwise will be severely punished on the Day of Judgement, so he is confident enough to damn any scholar who has a different opinion from his.   And of course, when he said that, it was recorded, on video.   The reason these Wahhabis say we cannot take pictures is because it is akin to “making images” and “imitating creation”.   But somehow, videos, which are moving pictures, and even more lifelike, are not haram .   But then, if they had any logic, they would not be Wahhabis; they would be Muslims.
