A Muslim Convert Once Before

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ In the 12 th century, Shaykh al-Islam , Imam Burhan ad-Din Abu al-Hasan ‘Ali ibn Abu Bakr al-Farghani al-Marghinani ( r.a. ) wrote a 60-volume work on Hanafi fiqh .  After realising it would be too much for a person to read through, Imam al-Marghinani ( r.a. ) condensed it into the 4-volume work, al-Hidayah fi Sharh Bidayat al-Mubtadi , commonly known simply as al-Hidayah .  al-Hidayah is the book of Hanafi fiqh , and no scholar of Hanafi jurisprudence is reliable unless he has read this book.  Imam al-Marghinani ( r.a.) himself was one of the greatest scholars of jurisprudence in Islam, a light upon the ummah , and a giant of this field.
