A Muslim Convert Once Before

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ   Article 38 of Imam Abu Ja’far Ahmad ibn Muhammad ath-Thahawi’s ( r.a. ) ‘Aqidah ath-Thahawiyyah states, “He is beyond having limits placed on Him, or being restricted, or having parts or limbs.   Nor is He contained by the six directions as all Created entities are.”   However, in his footnote to Article 38, the Wahhabi, ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Baz asserted, “Allah is beyond limits that we know but has limits He knows.”   This is clear misguidance, and an innovated phrase, as stated by Imam Shams ad-Din Abu ‘Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad adz-Dzahabi ( r.a. ) and others.   It is   unsupported by the Qur’an, the sunnah , and ijma’ .   It violated the practice of the true Salaf , who refrained from indulging in speculations of modality whenever they mentioned the Divine Attributes.   The Wahhabi, ‘Abdullah al-Hashidi, in his edition of Imam Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Husayn al-Bayhaqi’s ( r.a. ) al-Asma’ w...

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The Wahhabi sect are of the belief that Allah ( s.w.t. ) possesses limits, hudud ; but ‘only He Knows His limits’.  In effect, they do not believe that He is Omniscient and Omnipotent.  Neither do they believe that he is Omnipresent, saying He has a body and is in a place.  In effect, the Wahhabis and the Muslims do not believe in the same God.  ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Baz, the Wahhabi Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia until his demise, commented on ‘Aqidah ath-Thahawiyyah on this: “By hudud , the author means such as known by humans since no one except Allah Almighty Knows His limits.”   Allegedly, Imam Abu Sa’id ‘Utsman ibn Sa’id as-Sijistani ad-Darimi ( r.a. ), in ar-Radd ‘ala Bishr al-Marisi , quoted Shaykh Taqi’ ad-Din Ahmad ibn ‘Abd al-Halim ibn Taymiyyah ( r.a. ), in Dar at-Ta’arud al-‘Aqli wa an-Naql .  From Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah’s ( r.a. ) section on the hadd and the ‘Arsh , it was written, “The opponent ...

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ   The Wahhabi sect objects to declaring that Allah ( s.w.t. ) is Transcendent, beyond possessing body, parts and limbs.   They believe in an idol which they name “Allah” who has a body and a place.   In effect, they are anthropomorphists and idolaters, masquerading as Muslims.   ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Baz, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia in his time, and the leading scholar of this heretical sect, said in refutation of the correct position of Imam Nur ad-Din Ahmad ibn Mahmud asw-Swabuni ( r.a. ), “Then, asw-Swabuni, may Allah Guide him, mentioned, declaring Allah Transcendent beyond possessing body, pupils, auditory meatus, tongue, and larynx; and this is not the position of Ahl as-Sunnah but rather that of the scholars of condemned kalam and their contrivance, for the Ahl as-Sunnah do not negate something about Allah except what He Negates about His self or what his Messenger ( s.a.w. ) negated, and they do not a...
