Shaykh Abu Muhammad Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Jurayri (q.s.) in Brief
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ As recorded in Imam Abu al-Qasim ‘Abd al-Karim ibn Huzan al-Qushayri’s ( r.a. ) Risalah al-Qushayriyyah , Shaykh Abu Muhammad Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Jurayri ( q.s. ) was one of the greatest companions of Imam Abu al-Qasim al-Junayd ibn Muhammad al-Baghdadi, ( q.s. ). He studied with Imam Abu Muhammad Sahl ibn ‘Abdullah at-Tustari ( r.a. ), and was appointed as successor to Imam al-Junayd ( q.s. ). He was knowledgeable in the sciences of this community, and possessed an advanced spiritual state. He passed away in 311. Shaykh Abu ‘Abdallah Muhammad ibn al-Khafif ash-Shirazi ( q.s. ) said that he heard from Shaykh Abu ‘Ali Ahmad ibn ‘Atha’ ar-Rudbari ( r.a. ), “al-Jurayri died in the year of al-Habir.
