Mirrors

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Shaykh Muhyi ad-Din Abu ‘Abdullah Muhammad ibn ‘Ali ibn ‘Arabi (q.s.) wrote, in his Fuswusw al-Hikam, “Allah (s.w.t.) is your mirror in which you see yourself, and you are His Mirror in which He Sees His Names.  His Names are none other than Himself, as you know.  The matter is confusing.  This is the highest level of those who have knowledge of Allah (s.w.t.).  This knowledge only belongs to the Seal of the Messengers, and the Seal of the Saints.  The saints can only see it from the niche of the Seal of the Saints.”
