بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Shaykh Abu ‘Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abu al-Qasim al-Qandusi (q.s.) wrote, in his at-Ta’sis fi Masawi ad-Dunya wa Nahawi Iblis, “Scholars say that the most distant of people from Allah (s.w.t.) is the one who abandons the Prescribed prayers; but I say that the most distant of people from Allah (s.w.t.) is the one who wrongs others.  The one who abandons the Prescribed prayer is closer to Allah (s.w.t.) than those who oppress and transgress against others.”
