Veiled Lower Selfs

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ 

Shaykh Taj ad-Din Abu al-Fadhl Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Atha’illah as-Sakandari (q.s.) wrote, in his Hikam, “Perhaps the hearts can prematurely stop, with spiritual lights like the lower selves veiled by the coarse physical world.”
