The Universal Model

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The following is a transcript of discourse given by Mawlana Wafi’ Muhammad.   The Creator, in His Wisdom, Made man His vicegerent here on the Earth.   The implication of this mission entails cultivating the personality both physically and spiritually to produce a unique relationship with man’s connection to his fellow human beings both physically and spiritually, to the environment, and to the Lord Himself.   A challenger, Satan, is also Permitted to test the sincerity of man in the process of his representation of the Lord here on the Earth, and to cause him to become forgetful of the purpose for which he was sent.   The Lord, out of Compassion and Mercy, Sent Messengers to help the people stay on the correct path by helping them to make the right choices during their daily activities.   Each Messenger is specially Appointed by the Lord.   Every one of them delivered the Message to the people to whom they were Sent, and no matter what were t

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ   Shaykh ‘Utsman Nuri Tufbas wrote, in “Islam, Spirit, & Form”, Sayyidina Hasan ibn ‘Ali ( r.a. ) used to read a prayer while entering the mosque as follows: “O my Lord!   Here is your servant at your door.   O the most Merciful Lord!   Your sinful servant is before You.   You Ordered Your righteous servants to forgive the evil acts of sinful people because You are the Most-Generous and the Most-Forgiving.   Please Forgive my sins and Show Mercy to me by Your Generosity and Compassion!”   Imam Abu al-Hasan ‘Ali ibn Husayn Zayn al-‘Abidin ( q.s. ) used to turn pale whenever he rose to make ablution and his legs used to shake when he was about to pray.   And he used to answer those who asked him “what happens to you” as follows: “– Do not you ever know Whose Presence I am about to enter?”   Once, his house caught fire while he was in prayer, but he did not notice it.   On completion of his prayer he was told about it, and he was asked, “Wha

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ   Shaykh ‘Utsman Nuri Tufbas wrote, in “Islam, Spirit, & Form”, when Sayyidina Abu Hafsw ‘Umar ibn al-Khaththab al-Faruq ( r.a. ) was mortally wounded by a disgruntled fire-worshipper, he was losing blood, and in critical condition, and soon lost consciousness.   Yet, when it was time for prayer, somebody stated close to his ear: “O ‘Umar!   It is time for prayer!”   Astonishingly, he then became aroused to perform his prayer.   And afterwards he said, “One who does not perform prayer has no place in Islam!”   After these words he lost consciousness and later expired.”   Sayyidina ‘Ali ibn Abu Thalib ( k.w. ) the fourth caliph, was known for growing pale and shedding all worldly senses while praying.   When he was struck with an arrow in a battle, he began prayer for somebody to remove the arrow from his body.   He felt no pain while the arrow was being removed.   He was once asked, “O Leader of Believers!   Why does your face grow pale

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Referring to Shaykh Abu ‘Ali al-Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyadh ( q.s. ), Shaykh Abu ‘Ali al-Razi ( q.s. ) said, “I accompanied al-Fudayl for thirty years without ever seeing him laughing or smiling, except for the day when his son, ‘Ali, passed away.   I asked him about this.   He said, ‘If Allah ( s.w.t. ) Loves something, I love it too.’”

The Sharing Group Discussion: If Jesus (a.s.) Did Not Die, Why Did Judas Kill Himself ?

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ The following question was asked by Sister Aaminah Shiah , on The Sharing Group, on the 20 th November 2016: “ If Jesus ( a.s. ) did not die, as the Bible states, why did Judas kill himself? ”   Brother Marquis Dawkins : While Islam does not even acknowledge Judas, some of the scholars who take the substitution theory, say that it was Judas who was crucified instead.   So the “killing himself” had to be explained elsewhere.   Even in the Gospels, there is a discrepancy with it, as one story says he threw the 30 pieces of silver back at the Jews and immediately hanged himself afterwards:   Matthew 27:3-5 3 And now Judas, his betrayer, was full of remorse at seeing him condemned, so that he brought back to the chief priests and elders their thirty pieces of silver; 4 “I have sinned,” he told them, “in betraying the blood of an innocent man.”   “What is that to us?” they said.   “It concerns thee only.”   5 Whereupon he left them, throwi
