Muslims in the Wider World

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Habib ‘Ali Zayn al-‘Abidin ibn ‘Abd ar-Rahman al-Jifri said, “Many look at wider society with an eye of amazement and affection, with a desire to want to be connected in some way, sometimes to an extent that it is feared for them that faith will be torn from their hearts because of their inclination.  However, the Muslim is a person of purpose.  A Muslim feels compassion and mercy towards others and a desire to want that which is good and wholesome for them.  This governs the Muslim’s dispersal into society and defines their conduct in the wider world.”
