Repentance & Despair of Repentance

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ 

Shaykh Taj ad-Din Abu al-Fadhl Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Atha’illah as-Sakandari (q.s.) said, “Whoever repents, wins; whoever does not, loses.  And do not despair, saying, ‘How often I repent only to contradict my repentance.’  For the sick person hopes for life as long as his spirit remains in him.”
