The Lowest Times Herald the Best

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

True da’wah is to be a merchant of hope.  When, at the end of it all, we stand on the Day of Judgement, we will be Shown that the best times were the lowest, when we were stripped of pretensions of control and security.  Then, as Shaykha Rabi’ah al-‘Adawiyyah al-Qaysiyyah al-Baswri (q.s.) said, we are alone with the Alone.

Those were the shoes of Adam (a.s.) after his Fall, of Noah (a.s.) at the ark, of Abraham (a.s.) in the fire, of Moses (a.s.) when he crossed the desert, of Jesus (a.s.) at Gethsemane, and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) at Tha’if.  And in every instance, it was the Catalyst of a Great Gift.

And that is the meaning of this:

سُوۡرَةُ الشَّرح

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا (٥) إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرً۬ا (٦)

So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: Verily with every difficulty there is relief. (Surah ash-Sharh:5-6)
