The Defective Brilliance

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Imam Swalah ad-Din Abu asw-Swafa’ Khalil ibn Aybak asw-Swafadi (r.a.) said, of Shaykh Taqi’ ad-Din Ahmad ibn ‘Abd al-Halim ibn Taymiyyah (r.a.), “The shaykh, imam, and erudite scholar, Taqi ad-Din Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah was immensely learned but he had a defective intelligence that embroiled him into perils and made him fall into hardships.”
