Imam Ja'far asw-Swadiq's (q.s.) Lineage

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Imam Ja'far asw-Swadiq (q.s.), the 5th Shi’ah Imam, the 6th Shaykh of the Naqshbandi Haqqani Golden Chain, the teacher of Imam Abu Hanifah (r.a.) and Imam Malik (r.a.), and one of the most revered scholars of both Sunni and Shi’ah Islam, was not only the great-great grandson of ‘Ali ibn Abi Thalib (k.w.), but also the great-great grandson of Abu Bakr asw-Swiddiq (q.s.).

He is from the lineage of the first man to convert to Islam, and the first boy; the first righteous caliph, and the one the Prophet (s.a.w.) declared to be the Gate to the City of Knowledge; from amongst the best of the companions, both of whom were Promised Paradise.
