Imam Ja’far ibn Muhammad asw-Swadiq’s (q.s.) Lineage

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Imam Ja’far ibn Muhammad asw-Swadiq (q.s.), was the 5th Shi’ah Imam, the 6th Shaykh of the Naqshbandi Haqqani Golden Chain, the teacher of Imam Abu Hanifah Nu’man ibn Tsabit (r.a.), and Imam Abu ‘Abdullah Malik ibn Anas (r.a.), and one of the most revered scholars of both Sunni and Shi’ah Islam.  He was not only the great-great grandson of Sayyidina ‘Ali ibn Abu Thalib (k.w.), but also the great-great grandson of Sayyidina Abu Bakr ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Utsman asw-Swiddiq (q.s.).

He is from the lineage of the first man to convert to Islam, and the first boy; the first righteous caliph, and the one the Prophet (s.a.w.) declared to be the Gate to the City of Knowledge; from amongst the best of the companions, both of whom were Promised Paradise.
