Manifest Knowledge

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Imam Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali (r.a.) wrote, in his Ihya’ ‘Ulum ad-Din, “Ibrahim ibn Adham said, ‘There is nothing more formidable to the Devil than a learned man who manifests his knowledge both openly and when there is not a crowd around.  The devil then says, ‘Look at this man.  His silence is severer on me than his speech.’’”
