The Ignorance of Wahhabism

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

It is the sunnah of the Wahhabi sect, the modern day Khwarij, to make hasty declaration of Muslims as kuffar.  It is their sunnah to use takfir as slander against the Muslims, especially when they lose arguments on issues of the religious sciences, since the foundation of belief in their doctrine is ignorance of the religious sciences, particularly theology.  The Prophet (s.a.w.) said that slander is one of the signs of a munafiq.

The average adherent to the Wahhabi doctrine, from the most-self-righteous fool to the egregious terrorist, all have little or no background in the religious sciences.  Their scholars are morally bankrupt charlatans, easily called out on the discombobulation of their theological positions, and incoherence of their jurisprudential ones.  They value anti-intellectualism and ignorance, and clothe it In the mantle of surety and simplicity, as if a we should all cosplay 7th century Arabia according to their notions, and reinterpret the prophetic example and Divine intent aligned with their prejudices.

They take the verses in the Qur’an, and the ahadits, warning against the kuffar and the munafiqin, the ahl al-bid’ah and the fasiqin, and apply them to the body of believers, when they are the one being warned against.  They are unable to recognise the declarations of enmity the Prophet (s.a.w.) has against them.  They are among those blind in this world, and blind in the next.  Their takfir, and their misinterpretation of the religion, their idolatry and anthropomorphism, have made them the real kuffar, to be proscribed and condemned.

Sayyidina Hudzayfah ibn al-Yaman (r.a.) reported, that the Prophet (s.a.w.) said, “The only thing I fear for you is a man who recites the Qur’an, until you see its beauty upon him, and who supports Islam until God Wills, until he abandons it, and casts it behind his back, and attacks his neighbour with a sword and accuses him of shirk.”

Sayyidina Hudzayfah ibn al-Yaman (r.a.) asked, “O Messenger of God!  Which of the two is closer to polytheism, the accuser or the accused?”

The Prophet (s.a.w.) responded, “Of course, it is the accuser.”

This was recorded by Imam Abu Hatim Muhammad ibn Fayswal at-Tamimi ibn Hibban (r.a.), in his Swahih; and by Imam Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn ‘Amr al-Bazzar (r.a.), in his Musnad.
