People Limit God

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In Islam, God is beyond limits.  He is above any comparison, He is beyond the comprehension of His Creation, being Transcendent and yet, Immanent.  People, however, put a limit to Him based on their bias, their prejudice, their ignorance, their arrogance, and their self-righteousness.  They limit His Mercy, because they lack compassion.  They limit His Generosity, because they are miserly.  They limit His Love, because they are engaged in hate.  They limit His Unlimitedness because their hearts are constrained by the world and its cares.  We view Scripture through of the state of our heart.  A heart of violence sees wrath.  A heart of heedlessness sees permissiveness.  And a heart of awareness sees only Love whether in trial and boons.
