Finding Sweetness of Worship

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Shaykh Ahmad ibn Harb an-Nisaburi (q.s.) said, “I worshiped Allah (s.w.t.) for fifty years.  I was not able to find the sweetness of worship until I abstained three things: seeking the acceptance of people, so I was able to speak the truth; the companionship of the sinner, so I was able to accompany the righteous; and the sweetness of the life of this world, so I was able to find the sweetness of the afterlife.”
