Asking for the Truth

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Many a time, when someone says, “Tell me the truth!”; they are not asking for the truth.  They are asking for something acceptable and palatable, preferably the truth.  But since truth is often harsh, they prefer the beautiful lie.  We build our lives of beautiful lies until we can almost no longer recognise truth.  Until Truth becomes an arrow to the heart.  And what lie is more beautiful than the lie that lies are beautiful?
