‘Umar ibn al-Khaththab (r.a.) on Pretension

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

‘Umar ibn al-Khaththab (r.a.) said, “Whoever decorates himself by displaying to the people some characteristics that Allah ‘Azza wa Jal Knows are contrary to his real characteristics, will be Disgraced and Dishonoured by Allah (s.w.t.).”
