Our Culture is Automatically Halal

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In issues of mu’amalat, our transactions with Creation, everything is halal unless it is proven to be haram.  The argument that anything of our culture and practices is automatically haram if it is not found to be part of the Salaf or the texts is inadequate.  The Arabs were not part of Islam.  A prophet was Sent, and they had to convert.  Did we throw out their entire culture?  Did we throw out the entire culture of the Persians, the Turks and subsequent peoples who came to Islam?  Why should we throw away what we are simply because some other Muslims are unfamiliar with it?  That is not how the religion works.
