Mawlana ar-Rumi (q.s.) on Risking the Ocean

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Mawlana Jalal ad-Din ar-Rumi (q.s.) said, “Load the ship and set out.  No one knows for certain whether the vessel will sink or reach the harbour.  Cautious people say, ‘I will do nothing until I can be sure.’  Merchants know better.  If you do nothing, you lose.  Do not be one of those who will not risk the ocean.”
