Being Hanafi without Being Barelvi or Deobandi

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

It is perfectly possible to be a Hanafi by fiqh, and ignore everything that is Deobandi and Barelvi.  The Hanafi madzhab existed long before these two groups, and it is perfectly functional disregarding every fatwa and every scholar that is Deobandi or Barelvi.  I do not care for them, their jurisprudential positions or their quarrelsome traditions.
