Encounters during the Mi’raj: The Eaters of Their Own Flesh

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

During the night of the Mi’raj, the Prophet (s.a.w.), accompanied by Jibril (a.s.), travelled until the Prophet (s.a.w.) saw groups of people whose sides were being cut off for meat, and they were being devoured.  They were being told, “Eat, just as you used to eat the flesh of your brother.”

The Prophet (s.a.w.) asked, “O Jibril, who are these?”

He replied: “They are the slanderers of your ummah who would bring shame to others.”
