A New Year & Paradise Regained

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known as Mark Twain, said, “To get the full value of joy, you must have someone to divide it with.  After all these years, I see that I was mistaken about Eve in the beginning; it is better to live outside the Garden with her, than inside it without her.”

So, when Eve (r.a.) gave Adam (a.s.) the apple, it was the essence of the first love story.  Perhaps the pain of Adam (a.s.) was not that he was taken out of the Garden, but that he spent decades without Eve (a.s.).  After all, when they found each other again, it was a measure of Paradise regained.
