Shaykh Nazhim al-Haqqani (q.s.) on Being under Divine Inspection

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Shaykh Nazhim al-Haqqani (q.s.) said, “We are always under Inspection.  That is important to know.  We are free to do what we want, but at the same time we are not free, because things do not always happen the way we planned them.  What we want does not always correspond with reality.  Nothing in this world will ever be 100% the way we want it to be.  Whoever welcomes whatever comes to them, can be satisfied.  Every day, we face so many unexpected disliked things, but we must have good manners and accept whatever happens to us, to our family, to our people or to humanity on this planet, because it is out of our control.

No one can really judge what is their own destination.  Everyone has a private destination which only belongs to them.  Until you reach the end of that destination, you will encounter so much of the unexpected.  You cannot avoid that which will happen tomorrow.  Even if we try to arrange everything in a most perfect way, it will not be exactly the way we wanted it to be.”
