Generalised Guilt

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Hakim Murad Timothy John Winter said, “We cannot just have this generalised guilt within ourselves, and not know what to do about it.  We must firstly have the knowledge of exactly what is was that we did wrong, and then the knowledge of how to put things right.  Finally, the certainty that once we have done that, it is wiped out.  That is tawbah.”
