Jesus (a.s.) Walked on Water because of His Sincerity

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

According to Imam Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal (r.a.), someone once asked Jesus (a.s.), “How are you able to walk on water?”

Jesus (a.s.) replied, “With certainty.”

Then someone said, “But we also have certainty!”

Jesus (a.s.) then asked them, “Are stone, clay, and gold equal in your eyes?”

They replied, “Certainly not!”

Jesus (a.s.) responded, “They are in mine.”

    1. You mean Imam Ahmad (r.a.), right? He is not your friend. This is found in Imam Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali's (r.a.) translation of various Christian stories from the different groups, citing their chains of transmission. Imam Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal (r.a.) was in some of the chains of transmission.
