The Salaf were Strict with Creed but Lenient on Jusrisprudence

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Imam Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali (r.a.) said, “The Salaf of the ummah of the Prophet (s.a.w.) agreed to condemn people with deviant ideas, and to abandon them, and to cut relations with them, and be hard in rebuking them, but to be mild in disagreements of juristic details.”
