Those Who Sit in Muraqabah

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

The following is adapted from a swuhbah by Shaykh Muhammad Nazhim Adil al-Haqqani (q.s.).

Every hour, every day, every minute, every second and third, the smallest part of time, Divine Treasures descend from the Heavens.  Why are the muridun sitting like this?  Why do they not open their eyes to look?  There are two eyes to look at what is around us and there is another Grant from Allah (s.w.t.) inside.  This power allows us to observe from East to West when sitting like this.  The Ahl at-Taswawwuf say that after muraqabah, meditation and concentration, comes mushahadah, the witnessing or vision.  We close our eyes and the eyes of our hearts open, and there must be some mushahadah, appearances.  Thus, we always prefer muraqabah.  We are not sleeping.  We are diving into unseen worlds.  We must try to reach some of those Divine jewels that are Granted to mankind.  We must not run after dunya like a dog running after a rabbit, for then we waste our precious lives.  We make muraqabah and that screen will appear where everything is seen in it.  The Ahl at-Taswawwuf try not to lose it because in every second something unimaginable comes.

Allah (s.w.t.) has endless Oceans of Generosity.  We should ask for them to be Granted to us forever.  We do not know if we have two or three days more.  Only Allah (s.w.t.) Knows who is going to live.  Millions of people will be Carried away before Ramadhan and we must remember that this may be our last Ramadhan.  Therefore, take as much as possible of the Divine Treasures.
